Combating climate change in agriculture: supporting Agrobancos strategy for mitigation and adaptation to climate change in the rural areas

The project supports Agrobanco, the main agricultural financial instrument of Peru, to integrate climate change mitigation and adaptation into its rural lending portfolio. The European Union, through LAIF and managed by AFD, funds a technical assistance program to build a portfolio of green projects and investment subsidies for adaptation and mitigation projects that need the most incentives. It includes the institutional strengthening of Agrobanco and a social and environmental risk management system.
