Adding value to Amazonian socio-productive chains

Fecha de inicio: 30/01/2018
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2023

Description

The core of the project is based on the promotion of agroecological production of socio-biodiversity products, aiming at income generation, food security and reducing pressure on natural resources. To achieve this, the project will work in six production chains (milk, chestnuts, babassu, fruits and vegetables, coffee and cocoa), while strengthening community associations and cooperatives. The project hopes to strengthen 20 local organizations with approximately 400 families supported. It is planned to implement 190 sustainable production units and 10 processing units. Combined with technical skills, workshops and seminars, the project aims to raise awareness and disseminate the advantages of agroecological production, providing a new dynamic in the local economy.
