Description

The project improved the socio-ecological resilience of local populations through the strengthening of forest governance and management devices, which take the guidelines of Forest Management with Integrated Livestock (MBGI), a policy agreed upon between the Environment and Agriculture portfolios in Argentina. , which is presented as an alternative to traditional silvopastoral models. The project is grouped into 4 components: Component 1: Property. Evaluate at the property scale, participatory multiple-use forest management proposals applying the concept of “shared lands” (land-sharing). Component 2: Landscape. Apply participatory methods of zoning, characterization and evaluation of the sustainability of territories (landscapes). Component 3: Region. Evaluate forest monitoring systems and the impact of future regional scenarios. Component 4: Governance and social awareness. Create spaces for awareness and training for territorial leaders and actors for the management of multiple uses of the forest within the framework of implementation of public policies in the region.
