Physiological and genetic bases of wheat and soybean responses to biotic and abiotic limitations: studies aimed at genetic improvement and crop management

Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2018
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2020

Description

The objective of the project is to characterize germplasm used in the region in its behavior against biotic (diseases) and abiotic (water and thermal, individually or combined) stresses, identify the physiological and genetic bases that allow maintaining performance against said stresses. , and develop a regionally validated field phenotyping platform. In this way, tools of real applicability in breeding programs will be provided in the short-medium term to develop germplasm adapted to these limitations, associated with management strategies that help sustain grain yield (GR), without reducing quality. of crops, thus improving the production of both species in a framework of environmental sustainability.
