EU-Central America Association Agreement The AGRO-INNOVA project is part of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Central America, which establishes a comprehensive framework for political, trade, and development cooperation. This agreement promotes cooperation in areas such as sustainable rural development, food security, climate change adaptation, and institutional strengthening, elements that are directly aligned with the project's objectives of implementing adapted agroforestry systems to improve the climate resilience and food security of vulnerable smallholders in the Central American Dry Corridor.
