Cartagena Agreement Agricultural Development Program The Andean Program on Food and Nutritional Security and Sovereignty is a key pillar of the Andean Community’s Agricultural Development Program, as it comprehensively addresses the right of Andean populations to adequate, healthy, culturally appropriate, and sustainably produced food. This initiative promotes coordinated public policies among Member Countries to ensure physical and economic access to sufficient food, with a particular emphasis on strengthening local production and encouraging responsible consumption.
