BUR1: First Biennial Update Report of Costa Rica

Costa Rica, aware of the importance of this information, has carried out, through the National Meteorological Institute, an entity attached to the Ministry of Environment and Energy, its first Biennial Update Report. Said report contains the GHG Inventory with reference year 2012, the mitigation measures being carried out in the country, the emission scenarios, as well as information on obstacles and technology needs, capacities and the support received by the country. For the preparation of this document, the guidelines issued by the Convention in Annex III of Decision 2/CP17 for Non-Annex 1 countries were followed.
