Description

The National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (2018-2030) of Honduras is a strategic planning instrument developed by UNDP, ASONOG, and AYUDA EN ACCIÓN that establishes guidelines to address climate change impacts in the country over the coming years. This plan integrates objectives, actions, and adaptation measures across priority sectors, focusing on reducing socio-environmental vulnerability to extreme climate events affecting the country. The document presents a multisectoral approach that promotes interinstitutional coordination among government entities, civil society, private sector, and local communities, with special attention to vulnerable groups. It incorporates gender considerations, human rights, and traditional knowledge to strengthen the country's climate resilience in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
