Description
Regional climate change plan for the departments of Arauca, Casanare, Meta and Vichada aimed at integrating climate adaptation, mitigation and risk management into the development processes of Colombia's Orinoquía region. The framework assesses climate impacts and vulnerabilities, climate scenarios and greenhouse-gas emissions and establishes adaptation and mitigation measures through 2040. Its agrifood component includes measures for livestock and agricultural systems, silvopastoral systems, genetic improvement, water harvesting and management, efficient fertilizer use, high-biomass perennial crops, biodiversity and ecosystem services, supported by financing, institutional coordination, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
