The National Response Plan to Climate Change (PNRCC) of Uruguay is a national instrument that seeks to identify, plan and coordinate actions to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt society and productive sectors to the impacts of climate change. . Its specific objectives include coordinating institutional actions, moving towards comprehensive climate risk management, improving knowledge about vulnerability, establishing preventive adaptation policies, introducing adaptation and mitigation strategies in the productive sectors, promoting mitigation actions taking advantage of external opportunities, and stimulate the participation of key actors through education and public awareness programs.
