The National Adaptation Plan in Chile, established as a goal in the National Action Plan on Climate Change 2008-2012 (PANCC), serves as a conceptual framework and guideline for long-term adaptation to the effects of climate change. This plan coordinates sectoral adaptation plans in priority areas such as Forestry, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Health, Infrastructure, Cities, Energy, Tourism and Water Resources. It is expected to provide an institutional structure to coordinate the actions of different sectors, localities and regions, allowing adaptations at the sectoral, multisectoral, regional or national level.
