Description

The Law for Action against Climate Change of the State of Jalisco (LACCEJ), published in 2015, establishes the development of the State Program for Action against Climate Change (PEACC) as the main planning and orientation instrument for state policy in this matter in the medium and long term. The PEACC defines Jaliscos strategic vision in the face of climate change, listing objectives, strategies and actions to manage risks and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It contains the most recent Inventory of Compounds and Greenhouse Gases in the country, as well as a measurement, reporting and verification system for mitigation and monitoring and evaluation for adaptation, allowing transparent and reliable monitoring of compliance with the established actions and goals. in the program. Jalisco, in line with Mexicos commitments in the Paris Agreement, will contribute globally to the fight against climate change through this program.
