Climate Change Adaptation Plan for the Forestry and Livestock Sector

Description

The plan presents 21 climate change adaptation measures that focus mainly on four key areas: water management, research, information and training, management of agricultural crops and forests, and risk management and insurance. The proposed actions seek to improve the competitiveness of agriculture by fostering research and innovation, promoting economic, social and environmental sustainability, and improving transparency and access to markets. In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and its services will be modernized to better adapt to the challenges of climate change, thus ensuring a more effective and sustainable response to the new climatic conditions affecting the agricultural and forestry sector.
