Sectoral action plan for greenhouse gas mitigation - Agriculture and livestock sector

The plan proposes to consolidate three strategic lines, aimed at: I. Implementation and Sustainable Intensification; II Innovation and Development and IIl Incentives and Financial Instruments. These strategic lines are the result of the analysis of sub-sectoral experts, consolidation of surveys and advances in climate change mitigation issues. Each strategic line consolidates policies (new or existing) and in turn the necessary programs to develop the policies through actions. Basically, with the generation of public policies focused on agricultural extension (technology transfer and technical assistance) and the increase of research at the national level, taking into account the productive organization by type of producer, extension programs are carried out that lead to the growth of the agricultural sector, with specific benefits of GHG mitigation in the agricultural sector and co-benefits, that is, complying with the objectives of the sector.
