Action Plan for Disaster Risk Reduction in Belize

The Action Plan developed seeks to strengthen disaster prevention, risk mitigation and preparedness in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, and to improve coordination for disaster risk reduction with other development sectors in Belize. This plan was developed through an extensive consultation process with key disaster risk management stakeholders, both within and outside the Ministry, and was technically endorsed in 2011 and recommended for formal approval for early implementation.
