Action Plan for Climate Change and Agroenvironmental Management

This Action Plan is based on the recommendations and observations gathered during the dialogue process at the table of the State Policy for the Agrifood Sector 2011-2021, with the participation of representatives from the private sector (such as corporations, chambers and producer organizations), the public sector (agricultural institutions, IMN, MINAET, UCR) and international entities (IICA, FAO, CRRH). This document defines the political and technical guidelines that will guide interventions in the area of agricultural production, in terms of mitigation, adaptation and vulnerability to climate change and agro-environmental management for the 2011-2014 period. The Plan involves all the sector's institutions in this paradigm shift, preparing them to face current and future challenges. It serves as a platform for generating work proposals and attracting support from international cooperation, intensifying existing and new lines of research in the various topics addressed by the Plan.
