Nicaragua's National Climate Change Policy, approved by decree, is an integral part of the climate management system established in 2021 and seeks to urgently address climate change through principles of climate justice, sustainable development, and equity. The principles include reparation of losses and damages, gender equity, and an intergenerational approach to ensure youth participation in climate actions.
