Organic Law 3/2007, for the Effective Equality of Women and Men

This Act guarantees the right to equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, in particular through the elimination of discrimination against women, whatever their circumstances or status, in any of the spheres of life and, in particular, in the political, civil, labour, economic, social and cultural spheres. It also prioritizes making equality between women and men effective in the agricultural sector; therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will develop the legal concept of shared ownership, so that womens rights in the agricultural sector are fully recognized.
