Costa Ricas National Climate Change Adaptation Policy (PNACC) is a guideline for addressing climate change impacts. Approved in 2018, it aims to reduce the countrys vulnerability, enhance its adaptation capacity, and promote resilience to climate change. The PNACC is guided by principles of mainstreaming, citizen participation, and equity. It outlines priority actions in areas such as governance, risk management, water resources, agriculture, forests, coasts, health, education, science, technology, and financing. This policy is crucial for Costa Rica as it helps reduce vulnerability and promotes resilience to climate change.
