Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2012
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The main objective of the policy is to ensure that all inhabitants have access at all times to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs for an active and healthy lifestyle. The policy recognizes present challenges, such as the rise in diet-related non-communicable diseases and dependence on food imports, and proposes a comprehensive approach to address these issues. It is structured around four main pillars: food availability, food accessibility, food utilization and food supply stability. It seeks to improve national food production, increase the resilience of the agricultural sector to climate change and natural disasters, and strengthen the institutional framework for the implementation of food security policies. In addition, specific strategies are included to improve the nutrition and health status of the population, such as strengthening public health systems and promoting healthy diets and active lifestyles.
