Fecha de inicio: 31/12/2015
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2025

Description

The purpose of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy for the Agrifood Sector of Honduras (ENACCSA) is for the Honduran nation to be constituted by a society, an economy and a territory whose levels of climate vulnerability are low, so as not to exacerbate the negative impacts derived from climate change; by strengthening the current public policy framework, incorporating appropriate and timely strategies and measures aimed at reducing socio-environmental and economic vulnerability and improving adaptive capacity, particularly of the populations, sectors and territories most exposed to climate hazards. The above, with a view to improving environmental quality, while considering the possible contribution to global mitigation. The instrument seeks to build an agrifood sector that is more responsive to climate variability and adaptive capacity to climate change, responding with public policies, strategies and appropriate measures that reduce vulnerability, in a multicultural environment, respectful of gender equity, supported by sustainable development.
