Regional Ordinance No. 002-2023-GRA/CR Creating the Regional Platform of Indigenous Peoples to Address Climate Change in Ayacucho

Regional Ordinance No. 002-2023-GRA/CR creates, establishes, and defines the functions of the Regional Platform of Indigenous Peoples to Address Climate Change in Ayacucho as a permanent body for participation, policy formulation, and decision-making on regional climate policies, plans, programs, and strategies. The Platform brings together indigenous organizations and departments of the Regional Government of Ayacucho. Its functions include formulating and proposing adaptation and mitigation measures based on indigenous knowledge, science, and ancestral technologies; systematizing regional climate proposals; identifying priorities for incorporation into public and private investment projects; monitoring and evaluating implementation of the Regional Climate Change Strategy; strengthening indigenous peoples’ capacities; and promoting the management, research, and systematization of ancestral knowledge through intercultural dialogue.
