Description

The President's Climate Action Plan establishes an ambitious strategy to address climate change and promote energy sustainability nationally and internationally. The plan focuses on three key pillars: reducing carbon pollution in America, preparing the United States for the impacts of climate change, and leading international efforts to combat global climate change. Actions highlighted include imposing new rules to reduce carbon pollution from power plants, raising fuel economy standards and promoting advanced transportation technologies, as well as improving energy efficiency in homes, businesses and factories. Additionally, the plan seeks to increase the resilience of American infrastructure and communities by fortifying roads, bridges and coastlines and implementing a climate preparedness and resilience task force. At the international level, the focus is to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation, especially with emerging economies,
