Argentina seeks to combat inflation with price controls

The Argentine government is concerned about the soaring grain prices due to the war in Ukraine. Therefore, it decided to create a trust fund financed by the increase in the export tax on soybean meal and oil in order to contain the increase in the price per ton of wheat purchased by millers and return the price of flour to pre-conflict levels.
