Description
Protocol amending the tariff chapter of the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and Investment between Argentina and the United States. The amendment removes references to the reciprocal tariffs and provides Argentine goods with the United States most-favoured-nation tariff rate, subject to US laws concerning national security, import surges and unfair trade practices. The agreement also addresses automatic import licensing, regulatory recognition for certain US products and investment provisions. Entry into force requires completion of both countries' internal approval procedures, including ratification by Argentina's Congress.
