LOSAN: Organic Law on Food and Nutrition Security of Brazil - Law No. 11,346/2006

National legal framework that creates the National Food and Nutrition Security System (SISAN) to ensure the human right to adequate food. It establishes the definitions, principles, guidelines, objectives and institutional composition of the system through which public authorities and organized civil society formulate and implement food and nutrition security policies, plans, programmes and actions. It provides for intersectoral and federative coordination, social participation, transparency, coordination between budgets and management, and monitoring and evaluation of the food and nutrition situation.
