Fecha de inicio: 09/12/2016
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The primary goal of the framework is to reduce emissions while building resilience to adapt to climate change, thereby helping Canada meet its international commitments under the Paris Agreement. The framework's actions are designed to support the transition to a low-carbon economy, and include pricing carbon pollution, implementing complementary measures to reduce emissions in various sectors, and encouraging adaptation and climate resilience. Components of the framework cover the implementation of a carbon price, actions to encourage emissions reductions in sectors such as electricity, the built environment, transport and industry, and measures to promote clean technology, innovation and the creation of employment. Climate adaptation and resilience policies are also highlighted, including improving infrastructure and promoting public health and well-being.
