Start Date: 26/06/2026
End Date: N/A

Description

Joint Resolution 000160 of 2026 of Colombia's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development defines and adopts the Methodology for Determining Low-Impact Agricultural Activities in Paramo Ecosystems (MBIP). The methodology enables the identification in the field of environmentally and productively sound agricultural practices and provides a baseline for identifying, targeting and prioritizing productive reconversion plans, programs and projects, guiding incentives and strengthening sustainable agricultural development. It applies to natural and legal persons carrying out agricultural activities in delimited paramo ecosystems or areas undergoing participatory delimitation, with differentiated application for traditional inhabitants and organized farming communities. Environmental authorities are responsible for applying the methodology, which also establishes mechanisms for institutional coordination, information management, monitoring and technical review every three years.
