Legislative Decree No. 501: Tax Exemption for the Donation of cans of Tuna for Social Programmes

Legislative Decree of El Salvador exempting the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock from import duties, value-added tax, maritime and port service charges, storage and handling costs, and other taxes applicable to the entry into the country of 100,000 cans of tuna donated by the Ecuadorian company EUROFISH, S.A. to support government social programmes. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is responsible for coordinating the storage, distribution, and use of the donation. Public entities involved must facilitate the administrative procedures for its prompt entry, while the competent tax and customs authorities retain their oversight and fiscal verification responsibilities.
