Colombia: Resolution 242 of 2025 - Identification of Protection Zones for Food Production in the department of Córdoba

This resolution identifies Food Production Protection Zones (ZPPA) across 21 municipalities in Córdoba, as a preliminary step toward the future designation of Food Production Protection Areas (APPA), a higher-hierarchy land-use planning category created by Law 2294 of 2023 to safeguard the constitutional human right to food. Based on a technical study by UPRA, the measure delineates territories that form part of an agrarian reform nucleus, while clarifying that the identified polygons are not yet binding land-use determinants but rather a reference ahead of formal designation.
