Bolivia: Law No. 404 - Law for the recovery, conservation, use and sustainable exploitation of wetlands

It declares the recovery, conservation, use, and sustainable management of bofedales, high-Andean wetlands that support wild and domestic fauna and the communities linked to them, to be a state priority. It promotes national studies and inventories, dialogue between the knowledge of indigenous and peasant communities and academic knowledge, and mixed water and soil management techniques aimed at improving productivity without compromising the livelihoods that depend on this resource.
