Upgrade of the Mon Repos Livestock Farm in Guyana

Guyana’s Ministry of Agriculture, through the Guyana Livestock Development Authority, announced a 25.59 million Guyanese dollar investment to upgrade the Mon Repos Livestock Farm in East Coast Demerara. The intervention includes the reconstruction of artificial insemination cattle pens to strengthen cattle breeding operations, modernize livestock infrastructure, support genetic improvement programmes, increase productivity in the cattle industry, expand local production capacity, strengthen food security and reduce reliance on imported livestock products.
