Suriname’s Green Development Strategy 2025-2050 establishes a long-term national strategic roadmap to guide the country’s sustainable development. The strategy integrates sustainable economic diversification, environmental protection, climate resilience, social inclusion, equity, good governance and institutional strengthening, with emphasis on forest conservation, biodiversity, transition toward a low-carbon economy, integrated planning, development scenarios, financing mechanisms and implementation through an institutional and legal framework.
