The White House announced that the President of the United States signed an executive order to accelerate agricultural innovation, advance regenerative agriculture and strengthen farm resilience. The measure directs the Department of Agriculture to expand the Regenerative Agriculture Pilot Program, share its results and create public-private partnerships to increase capacity for producers interested in adopting regenerative practices. It also directs the Environmental Protection Agency to prioritize registration of alternative crop protection tools and review data on pre-harvest desiccation uses; and instructs the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Health and Human Services and the EPA to develop research methodologies and frameworks on cumulative exposure to regulated chemical classes in the food supply.
