Resolution No. 000295 of 2025: Public Policy Guidelines for the Production and Use of Biological Agricultural Inputs, Organic Fertilizers and Soil Conditioners in Colombia

Resolution No. 000295 of 2025, issued by Colombia's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, adopts public policy guidelines on biological agricultural inputs, organic fertilizers and soil conditioners under the initiative Agriculture for Life. The policy aims to promote the production, technological development and efficient use of these inputs and locally prepared biological products as tools for agroecological transition, soil conservation and regeneration, water resource protection and increased domestic food production. It provides for the strengthening and establishment of biological input production facilities, capacity and knowledge development, the participation of peasant, family and community agriculture, and the strengthening of financing mechanisms for the sector. The resolution requires an action plan defining activities, targets, indicators and resources, and establishes interinstitutional coordination, monitoring and evaluation arrangements through a Technical Committee and Technical Secretariat. It applies nationwide, was issued on September 9, 2025, and entered into force upon publication on September 11, 2025.
