Ecuador State Agricultural Policy 2025–2034, «Hands for the Countryside», establishes a long-term strategic roadmap to promote productive, competitive, inclusive and sustainable development in the country agricultural sector. It is structured around ten strategic pillars: productivity, quality and food safety; market development; access to services and infrastructure; producer associations and participation; environmental sustainability, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and risk management; institutional and legal modernization; family farming; rural well-being; financing and insurance; and education, innovation, training and technical assistance. The policy guides the coordination of public and private interventions, particularly those supporting small and medium-sized producers and rural families, while seeking to strengthen food security and sovereignty, competitiveness and the sustainability of agrifood systems.
