Ecuador: Climate Change Adaptation Plan (2023-2027)

This is the country's public policy instrument for integrating climate adaptation into national, local, and sectoral planning. Led by the Ministry of Environment and Territorial Development (MAATE) with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funding from the Green Climate Fund, it was developed with the participation of over 2,000 stakeholders and prioritizes six sectors: human settlements, water resources, natural resources, health, strategic productive sectors, and food sovereignty. It offers climate projections, a gender perspective, and the SPRACC system to guide vulnerability reduction and strengthen resilience to climate change.
