National Water Sector Policy and Implementation Plan 2018

There are six (6) main principles guiding the Policy. These include: sustainability and intergenerational equity; efficiency; Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM); universal access; responsiveness to gender and vulnerable groups; and stakeholder participation. Following these principles, the goal of the Policy is to ensure that Jamaica’s water resources are effectively managed so as to provide for our nation’s social, economic, and environmental wellbeing, now and in the future
