National Disaster Risk Management

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, adopted in March 2015 by the United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, set new goals and targets in this area. Other reference documents have framed disaster risk reduction and the fight against climate change, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is in the wake of these new realities that the Haitian Government has decided to revise the National Disaster Risk Management Plan, integrating the issue of climate change and human security.
