Peru's Climate Financing Strategy for the implementation of adaptation and mitigation measures is an instrument that seeks to identify mechanisms to access and increase national and international financing for implementing adaptation and mitigation measures that contribute to comprehensive climate change management. This strategy supports the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and is framed within the National Policy: National Strategy on Climate Change to 2050 approved by Supreme Decree No. 012-2024-MINAM. The Ministry of Environment is the national authority on climate change matters responsible for its preparation, in coordination with sectoral authorities, regional and local governments, and non-state actors. The strategy is part of fulfilling the milestone of Policy Measure 9.1 of the National Competitiveness and Productivity Plan 2024-2030 on financing and monitoring measures against climate change.
