Normative Instruction No. 30 - National Plan for Prevention and Surveillance of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 - Brazil

Normative instruction that establishes Brazil’s National Plan for Prevention and Surveillance of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (PNPV/Foc TR4), under the National Program for Absent Quarantine Pests. The regulation defines operational guidelines for prevention, contingency, containment, suppression and eradication of Foc TR4. It introduces phytosanitary education and capacity-building actions, prohibits the importation of propagative material of Musa spp. from countries where the pest is present, mandates surveillance at ports, airports and borders, implements annual detection surveys, establishes mandatory reporting and investigation protocols, regulates quarantine and interdiction measures, and assigns coordination roles to the Department of Plant Health and the Federal Superintendencies of Agriculture.
