Description

The NOM-069-FITO-1995 establishes the technical requirements, procedures and verification mechanisms for the determination, establishment, operation and maintenance of pest-free areas in Mexico, including surveillance systems, sampling protocols, internal quarantine controls, inspection mechanisms and contingency actions, in order to prevent the introduction and spread of quarantine pests, safeguard national agricultural production, and ensure compliance with international phytosanitary standards.
