Resolution No. 0222 – Phytosanitary Measure for the Disinfection of Passengers’ Footwear Arriving on International Flights

Description

This resolution establishes a mandatory phytosanitary measure requiring the installation and use of footwear disinfection mats (pediluviums) at all Ecuadorian airports receiving international flights. The objective is to prevent the introduction and spread of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4), a highly destructive quarantine pest affecting banana and plantain crops.
