The FAO–Peru Country Programming Framework (CPF) 2023–2026 defines the cooperation priorities between the FAO and the Peruvian State to drive the sustainable transformation of agrifood systems. It is aligned with the FAO Strategic Framework 2022–2031 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2022–2026, aiming to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda. The CPF prioritizes three main areas of action: the provision of healthy and adequate food, rural territorial development and inclusive value chains, and the strengthening of resilience to climate change and anthropogenic risks. Within this framework, FAO promotes family farming, technological innovation, and the sustainable management of natural resources, incorporating the Hand-in-Hand Initiative as a key mechanism to mobilize sustainable investments in vulnerable territories. Furthermore, the CPF encourages coordination among public, private, and international cooperation sectors, and promotes cross-cutting approaches that integrate gender equality, youth inclusion, social participation, and innovation, with the goal of reducing inequalities, enhancing food security, and improving living conditions in the country’s rural areas.
