Resolution No. 110 – Biosecurity Measures Guide for Banana Production Sites

This resolution approves the “Biosecurity Measures Guide for Banana Production Sites”, which establishes mandatory phytosanitary and biosecurity standards for banana and plantain farms in Ecuador to prevent the entry and spread of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4). It sets out technical requirements for farm hygiene, personnel control, vehicle disinfection, and management of plant material, water, and waste, aligning Ecuador’s agricultural biosecurity framework with international phytosanitary standards (IPPC and ISPMs).
