Resolution No. 048 of 2011: Phytosanitary Requirements for the Importation of In Vitro Musa Plants into Ecuador

Resolution No. 048, issued on May 17, 2011, by Ecuador's Agricultural Quality Assurance Agency (AGROCALIDAD) and published in Official Gazette No. 475 on June 22, 2011, establishes general and specific phytosanitary measures and requirements for importing in vitro Musa plants (Musa spp.) produced through meristem culture into Ecuador. Its purpose is to prevent the introduction and spread of quarantine pests associated with plant propagation material, including risks related to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4.
