Resolution No. 0042 - Mandatory Designation of Biosecurity Leaders in Production and Export Facilities of Banana and Other Host Crops of Quarantine or Economically Important Pests - Ecuador

This resolution mandates that all banana and plantain production sites, collection centers, and exporting companies must appoint and register a certified Biosecurity Leader with Agrocalidad. The Biosecurity Leader is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and verifying phytosanitary and biosecurity measures aimed at preventing the introduction of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4) and other regulated pests.
