Ministerial Agreement No. 142 – National Contingency Plan for the Prevention, Detection and Control of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4)

Ministerial Agreement No. 142 establishes Ecuador's National Contingency Plan for the Prevention, Detection and Control of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4). The Plan sets out technical and phytosanitary procedures to prevent the introduction of the pest, ensure early detection of possible outbreaks, and implement control, containment and eradication measures. It includes phytosanitary measures for propagation material and other regulated articles, controls at points of entry and production sites, phytosanitary surveillance and reporting, risk mapping, diagnosis, biosecurity, training, international cooperation, interinstitutional coordination, and response protocols following the detection of an outbreak.
