The Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) Environmental and Social Policy Framework (ESPF) is a set of guidelines and standards that establish the IDB's commitment to environmental and social sustainability in the projects it finances in Latin America and the Caribbean. Approved in September 2020, the ESPF seeks to ensure that projects promote inclusive and sustainable development, minimizing risks and negative impacts on people and the environment.
