National Action Plan for Agriculture GHG Inventory Improvement - Saint Lucia 2022

Plan developed within the framework of the GCF CARICOM AgREADY project, which seeks to strengthen Saint Lucia's capacity to improve its greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory in the agricultural sector. The document identifies weaknesses in institutional arrangements, data sources, quality control procedures, and MRV (measurement, reporting, and verification) systems, and proposes a set of actions to move toward a more robust, sustainable, and nationally appropriate system. The central objective is to provide Saint Lucia with tools to improve the collection, analysis, and verification of agricultural data and, thereby, facilitate its alignment with climate commitments (NDCs) and climate-smart policy planning.
